Pamporovo – the Rhodopes in comfort
Pamporovo is Bulgaria’s southernmost ski resort, with lots of sunshine and gentle slopes that make it a favourite with families and beginners. The road there runs through the Rhodope mountains with many bends, so it is best left to a chauffeur who drives it every week. With a VIP transfer you do not look for a bus, you do not drive a mountain road after a flight, and you arrive rested.
The route
From Plovdiv we drive south via Asenovgrad, past Bachkovo Monastery and Narechen, to Chepelare and Pamporovo. From Sofia Airport we first take the Trakia motorway to Plovdiv and then continue on the same road. If you like, we stop at Bachkovo Monastery or for lunch in Plovdiv.
Skis, snowboards and luggage
Skis and snowboards take up space, so tell us when booking how many pairs and what bags you have. Two people with skis usually fit in a sedan; for three or four we recommend a minivan or Mercedes V-Class, and for a group with lots of equipment a van. If you are renting equipment at the resort, you travel with suitcases only and can choose a smaller car.
Winter road conditions
In winter the chauffeur checks the forecast and road conditions before every trip. In heavy snow we leave earlier and allow more time, and if your flight home is early in the morning we plan the departure with a margin. The price is fixed when you book and does not change if the drive takes longer.
Booking both ways at once
Most ski guests book the return together with the outbound trip: you know the price both ways and the car waits outside your hotel on departure day. If during the week you want to visit another resort, a spa or a restaurant outside the resort, we provide a car with a chauffeur for the day.
Plovdiv, Plovdiv Airport or Sofia Airport?
If you have a flight to Plovdiv Airport, it is the closest to Pamporovo. Most international flights, however, go to Sofia; then the transfer is longer but with no changes: the chauffeur collects you at the terminal and drops you in Pamporovo. If you arrive in Plovdiv by train or bus, we pick you up at the station.

- Before the trip. You receive the chauffeur’s name and phone number.
- Meeting you. The chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall. If your flight is late, the chauffeur sees the new time and waits at no extra cost.
- The road. The chauffeur loads your luggage and skis, and if you like we stop for coffee.
- Arrival. We drop you outside your hotel. You pay the chauffeur, with no prepayment.
