Why a VIP transfer instead of a taxi or bus?
There are buses and taxis between Sofia Airport and Plovdiv, but they start with waiting and changing: from the terminal to the bus station, then another taxi in Plovdiv. How the trip works
- Booking. Send us the flight number, the number of passengers and bags, and the address in Plovdiv. We confirm the price and the car.
- Before the flight. You receive the chauffeur’s name and phone number.
- Meeting you. The chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall. If the plane is late, the chauffeur sees the new time and waits at no extra cost.
- The road. From the airport we take the ring road and the Trakia motorway. If you like, we stop for coffee or a break on the way.
- Arrival. We drop you at the door of the hotel, office or home. You pay the chauffeur or as agreed for your company.

From Plovdiv to Sofia Airport: when to leave
For a flight from Sofia Airport we plan the departure from Plovdiv so you are at the terminal 2 hours before take-off. The drive is about 1 h 45 min, so for a 10:00 flight we leave around 6:00–6:15. On Monday mornings or Friday afternoons we allow another 20–30 minutes for traffic around Sofia. For an early flight, for example at 6 a.m., we leave at 2 a.m., and the chauffeur calls 10 minutes before arriving so you do not wait outside.
VIP transfer or a rental car?
A rental car looks cheaper until you add the deposit, fuel, the road toll and parking in Plovdiv. If you are staying in Plovdiv and will not travel around the country, a VIP transfer is almost always better value and less hassle: you do not drive after a long flight, you do not look for parking and you do not have to return the car to the airport before your flight home.
