Plovdiv to the sea without trains, buses or changes
There is a train and there are buses from Plovdiv to the southern Black Sea coast, but the trip takes 4–5 hours, with luggage at stations and another taxi from Burgas to the resort. A VIP transfer leaves from your address when it suits you and stops outside your hotel in Sunny Beach, Sozopol or Sveti Vlas. Summer is the busiest season, so we recommend booking a few days ahead.

The route
From Plovdiv we join the Trakia motorway and pass Stara Zagora, Nova Zagora and Karnobat on the way to Burgas. The motorway runs all the way to the coast, so the drive is smooth and predictable. If you like, we stop for coffee halfway. If your hotel is in the north (Pomorie, Ravda, Nessebar, Sunny Beach, Sveti Vlas) we bypass central Burgas; if it is in the south (Sozopol, Primorsko) we drive along Burgas Bay.

When to book for the summer season
In July and August most people travel from Plovdiv to the seaside, especially on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. If you want a specific car, for example a Mercedes V-Class for a family with lots of luggage, book at least a week ahead. Outside the season, in May, June and September, we can usually find a car for the next day. Leaving early in the morning, around 7–8 a.m., gets you to the coast before lunch and avoids the hottest hours.
With children and luggage
For a family with two children, a pushchair and suitcases for two weeks we usually recommend a minivan. A sedan for up to 4 passengers takes four medium suitcases, while a minivan or Mercedes V-Class also has room for a pushchair, inflatables and beach bags. Child seats and baby seats are free. The halfway break suits children, and if anyone feels unwell the chauffeur stops straight away.
Burgas as a business destination
Not everyone heads to the coast on holiday. Burgas is a port and an industrial and logistics centre with a refinery, plants and warehouses. We drive staff and consultants from Plovdiv to meetings in Burgas and back the same day, and for companies with regular trips we offer an individual quote. If the meeting lasts a few hours, a car with a chauffeur for the day is often better value than two transfers.
