Four hours you can spend working or resting
Sofia – Burgas is the longest drive on the Trakia motorway. Driving it yourself means 4 hours at the wheel and then parking at the height of the season. The train takes 6–7 hours, and a flight means getting to the airport, waiting and another taxi in Burgas. With a VIP transfer you sit in the back, answer e-mails or sleep, and the chauffeur drops you at reception.
This route is most often chosen by foreign guests who land in Sofia and go straight to the seaside; families who do not want to drive with the children; and business clients going to a conference or meeting in Burgas and coming back the same day.
The route and the breaks
From Sofia or the airport we join the Trakia motorway and drive past Plovdiv and Stara Zagora to Burgas. Around halfway we stop for coffee and the restroom. If you would like lunch in Plovdiv or a short stop in Stara Zagora, tell us when you book. For Sunny Beach, Sveti Vlas and Nessebar we continue north of Burgas past Pomorie; for Sozopol and Primorsko we head south.
Which car
On a drive this long comfort matters. Mercedes E-Class and S-Class have more legroom and a quieter cabin. Mercedes V-Class suits a family or group of up to 6 with lots of luggage. For larger groups we provide vans. Our group has about 200 sedans, 50 minivans, 100 vans and about 20 S-Class and E-Class cars. Child seats are free.
Return trips and days at your disposal
You can book the return together with the outbound trip. If you have meetings in Burgas, Varna or further away during your stay, we provide a car with a chauffeur for the day. Landing in Sofia and heading to the coast
Many foreign tourists and Bulgarians living abroad land in Sofia because there are more and cheaper flights there, and then look for a way to get to Burgas or Sunny Beach. The easiest option is for the chauffeur to meet you at arrivals so you set off at once without changing transport. If your flight lands in the evening, we can plan a night in Sofia and a transfer the next morning, and as a tour operator we can book the hotel as well.
When to leave
For a hotel check-in after 2 p.m., leaving Sofia around 9–10 a.m. works well. On Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings the Trakia motorway is busiest towards and away from the coast, so avoid those times if you can. In winter and spring the road is quiet all day. The chauffeur checks for roadworks and traffic before leaving and picks the fastest option.
With children and lots of luggage
For a four-hour drive with children we recommend a minivan or Mercedes V-Class, which have more room to move and for luggage. Child seats and booster seats are free; tell us the children’s ages when booking. We stop for coffee and the restroom around halfway, and again if needed.

Your address in Sofia or flight number, the hotel on the coast, the date, the number of passengers and suitcases and the children’s ages. If you want a return trip, give us the date. The price is fixed per car and we confirm it straight away; we reply to e-mails and the form within 2 hours.
Safety and comfort on a long drive
The cars are serviced regularly and have air conditioning and phone chargers. On a drive of more than four hours the chauffeur drives calmly, takes the breaks and never rushes at the expense of safety. The price is fixed when you book and does not change if there is traffic or roadworks on the motorway. You pay at the end, with no prepayment.
