Why by car rather than by plane
The Sofia – Istanbul flight is short, but once you add getting to the airport, security, waiting for luggage and the drive from Istanbul Airport into the city, the total time is often similar to the transfer. The route
Travelling to Istanbul Airport
If you are flying from the new Istanbul Airport, tell us your flight time and we will work out when to leave, allowing time for the border and check-in. The chauffeur drops you at the departures terminal. On the way back we track your flight and wait for you at the terminal exit, even if the plane is late. For groups and delegations to Istanbul we offer a minivan or a van, and for several cars an individual quote.
From Sofia we drive on the Trakia motorway via Plovdiv and Haskovo to the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing, and after the border continue on the Turkish motorway past Edirne towards Istanbul. The new airport is north-west of the city, so we do not enter the centre if you are flying. If you are going to a hotel in Istanbul, tell us the address and we will confirm the price.
Comfort on a long drive
Trips to neighbouring capitals take several hours, so we plan a break every 2 hours or whenever you like. Child seats are free – tell us the children’s ages when booking. We have about 200 sedans for up to 4 passengers, 50 minivans, 100 vans for groups and 20 S- and E-Class cars, so we can also handle a delegation in several cars. We work 24/7, so we can set off at night if you have an early flight or a morning meeting.
Border and documents
Before the trip, check which document you need for your nationality: an ID card or a passport, and whether a visa is required. At the border the chauffeur knows the procedure and tells you when to have your documents ready. Waiting time at the border depends on the day and the season; on Fridays, Sundays and around holidays we plan extra time. The price is fixed per car when you book and does not change if the border wait is longer.
