Thessaloniki for business and leisure
Thessaloniki is Greece’s second-largest city and the nearest big city outside Bulgaria for people in Sofia. The route

From Sofia we drive south on the Struma motorway past Pernik, Dupnitsa, Blagoevgrad and Sandanski to the Kulata – Promachonas border crossing. After the border we continue on the Greek motorway to Thessaloniki. There are good places to stop on the way, and if you like we stop in Sandanski or Melnik.

Border and documents
Before the trip, check which document you need for your nationality: an ID card or a passport, and whether a visa is required. At the border the chauffeur knows the procedure and tells you when to have your documents ready. Waiting time at the border depends on the day and the season; on Fridays, Sundays and around holidays we plan extra time. The price is fixed per car when you book and does not change if the border wait is longer.
